Graduand
Until June 25th...
Graduand is often defined as "a person who has completed the requirements for a degree but has not yet had the degree conferred." A search in older editions of the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, Webster’s Collegiate and other respected dictionaries does not yield this word, so it seems to have a recent or regional source. One suggestion is that "graduand" originated in Scotland. It was certainly being used at the University of Glasgow in 1974 with precisely the meaning given above.
... but before then, Peru!
